The web sites you visit are circles, and the items linked to each circle are the cookies, trackers, and 3rd party content the site attempted to load. Cookies, trackers, and 3rd party content blocked by the Browser Controller will appear as a different icon than those that were allowed. Some of these items may be used by multiple sites, like trackers that attempt to follow you as you visit different websites. See Key & Stats for icons, explanations, and totals.
Sometimes the SpyderWeb shows a website I've visited as a tracker or attaches a tracker to the wrong website. Why is this? Can I still be sure that trackers are being blocked?
The Browser Extension always blocks known trackers according to your custom settings or our default settings, so rest assured that any tracker we have a definition for will never be miscategorized! However, when you have multiple tabs open it can sometimes get a little tricky to accurately display activity from every tab in the SpyderWeb. While we're always working to give you the most complete and correct picture, but you may sometimes see minor errors when multiple tabs are open. This can lead a website to appear like a tracker, or a tracker from one website to be attributed to another. Please remember that any minor error in the SyderWeb's visualization is just that – an error in what you see. All known trackers are always blocked according to the Browser Controller's settings.
