You should actually experience faster page loads! However, if you are experiencing slower than normal load speeds, it could be due to over accumulation of data on your SpyderWeb graph.
If you haven't closed your browser in a while or have an astronomical amount of tabs open, go into your SpyderWeb, take it all in, and then clear your stats. You can do this by pressing the trash can icon in the "Key & Stats" box in the bottom left, or by clicking the trash can icon inside the extension. To troubleshoot we suggest you turn off “Block trackers & 3rd party content” and verify if the pages are loading faster.
It may also be that our proxy servers are experiencing temporary peak volumes. We recommend that you pick another location and if that doesn’t work, turn off Make Me Invisible for a while.
Alternatively, the cause could be:
- You could have too many browser tabs open.
- Your computer is running low on memory.
- A website that you’re visiting may be loading lots of media such as videos and music into your memory.
Please note that when the “Block trackers & 3rd party content” switch is off and if in “Advance Settings”, you have selected “Display SpyderWeb Graph when tracker switch is off”, this will slow down the page loads a bit because of the data being collected locally, to display what websites are loading when you are surfing in an unprotected mode.
